Dive wholeheartedly into these key responsibilities        

  •     Supporting Ahold Delhaize to deliver the Leading Together strategy through strategic communications planning.
  •     Providing advice, coaching and expertise to internal (Executive and Functional Leadership) stakeholders to ensure all communication activities are aligned.
  •     Serving as Business Partner in specified area.

 

As Communications Manager Leadership & Strategy Communications, you assume end-to-end responsibility for coordinating communications strategies for Ahold Delhaize at Group level and supporting the businesses in delivering their objectives. This role serves senior functional and executive management. The role largely boils down to a mix of managing communication strategies and projects and serving as a business partner, trusted communications advisor, and key point of contact for a few corporate function areas (Finance, Legal and Technology). You need to manage relationships with brands and their communications’ teams to ensure story flow and development, seeking out and pursuing strategy proof points and other interesting and compelling content and stories from across the group.

Requirements

We welcome caring colleagues who

  • Combine at least a Bachelor’s degree in with experience in high caliber internal and/or external communications
  • Have at least 5 - 9 years of external and/or internal communications experience in a leading multinational or in an agency environment.
  • Have excellent knowledge, understanding of and insight in the international business media landscape; and/or track record in delivering leadership and strategy communications programs.
  • Have knowledge of brand and reputation management in an international environment.
  • Have a successful track record of partnering with senior management to support internal and/or external communication programs.
  • Native English speaker with Dutch comprehension. Or a near native English speaker with proficiency in Dutch.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create cogent arguments and simple messages and produce good first drafts (of responses, statements, CEO communications, etc.).
  • Are as caring, courageous and growth-minded as your colleagues, and are happy to embrace and advocate the #daretocare philosophy
