Dive wholeheartedly into these key responsibilities

  • Define the corporate strategies across our brands in Europe and the United States.
  • Developing effective strategies, driving eCommerce and omnichannel growth, and overseeing a multi-billion euro multinational business.
  • Play a significant role in the development and communication of Ahold Delhaize's enterprise corporate strategy to management, boards, and retail brands.
  • Actively participate in the core transformation towards digital and omnichannel strategies, navigating a complex organization and identifying growth opportunities.

 

As Strategy Manager, your primary responsibility will be to lead and implement the corporate strategy for both Europe and the United States. This involves developing effective strategies, driving eCommerce and omnichannel growth, and overseeing a multi-billion euro multinational business. Additionally, you'll contribute to the development, execution, and communication of Ahold Delhaize's enterprise corporate strategy. This will involve working closely with the management and supervisory boards, executive committee, and all retail brands under the Ahold Delhaize umbrella.

 

A key aspect of your role is to drive the core transformation towards digital and omnichannel strategies within Ahold Delhaize. This means staying abreast of market trends and commercial developments that may impact the business. You will be responsible for the planning cycle, reviewing strategies across different regions and brands, and identifying new business opportunities to foster growth in the digital-first landscape.

 

Your role also involves aligning these strategic initiatives with the financial plan, ensuring seamless integration across all brands, regions, and functions. You will report to the VP and Global Head of Strategy, Digital Strategy, and Business Development. As part of your duties, you'll collaborate with various stakeholders, including Executive Committee members, senior executives from functional, regional, and brand teams, as well as key associates.

 

Navigating through a complex organization with diverse seniority levels, countries, languages, and cultures will be crucial. Therefore, possessing advanced diplomatic skills and the ability to communicate effectively at an executive level will play a significant role in your success in this position.
 

We welcome caring colleagues who have 

  • A Master's degree in Economics or Business Administration.
  • Approximately 5 years of work experience advising on (global) corporate strategies in either a consulting firm or the retail industry
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex strategic insights and the company's strategy at an executive level.
  • Strong logical structuring skills, adept at problem decomposition and solutioning.
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, demonstrating the willingness to take on new roles and responsibilities.
  • Experience in project management, with the ability to handle key stakeholders and workstreams.
  • Proficiency in developing and executing senior leadership meetings and workshops.
  • Skilled in creating quantitative analysis and financial models using Excel.
  • Familiarity with conducting external research and conducting interviews with both external and internal stakeholders.
